Here are programs that I wrote in my free time, for my own needs. Since there is always the chance that they could be useful for someone else, I am putting them here.
I like the idea of software being free for everyone to use and develop, so this is all free software (as in beer and as in speech), released under GNU Public License. After all, I have a job in software development that pays me well enough :)
I use Windows for my day-to-day activities, so the software is mostly for Windows. Some may be portable, other is not.
I was in the middle of a difficult encode, and was wondering which parts required the most bitrate. Looking at frame sizes in the .pass file, averaging them in Excel, switching to VirtualDubMod to look at a particular frame… Surely there has to be a better way?
To put it short, Stats Analyzer displays a scrollable graph of frame sizes (both original and averaged over ~30 frames), and has a simple built-in player that plays selected frame ranges.
SSA Editor is a plugin for FAR Manager that provides tools for editing Substation Alpha format subtitles.
Protractor is a tool to facilitate measuring angles on the screen.
I have a G15 keyboard and it provides a small LCD screen that applications can use to display various information. Here are my applets.
Vclip is a mini-video-editor for repairing anime captured from tape.
